Sometimes we need a little help...

Hypnotherapy for Pain Management

Pain should always be taken seriously and never regarded as being "all in the mind". Pain is a signal that something needs attention so please ensure that you have consulted with your medical practitioner prior to considering the use of hypnotherapy for managing pain.

Once you have addressed the pain on a medical level and had any necessary checks/tests/treatment and have decided you would like to use hypnotherapy as an adjunct to medical treatment, you are ready to allow yourself to be surprised at just how effective hypnosis can be in helping you to manage pain.

As a first step, you might want to familiarise yourself with some of the available research so here are just a couple of links to get you started:

While there can be no guarantee regarding how well hypnotherapy could work for you, as a general guideline based on published studies, between 50-70% of people can expect to notice a significant improvement and around 10% of the general population would be in the "highly hypnotisable" category that is able to undergo surgery with the skilled use of hypnosis in place of medical anaesthetics.
